“February Sun”

February Sun

I thought I would post here my latest large print at the Art by the Sea Garden, 36”x24 metal black frame with museum glass for maximum uv protection and clarity……

Actually I wanted to post how I came up with the name. Lately I have been listening to a Bill Evans channel on Pandora of like music and there is this one piece in Manu Katche’s album Neighborhood called “February Sun” which is just so descriptive of a February afternoon, kind of like the image above. It is slow, easy with a solo trumpet piece by Tomasz Stank that creates the feeling along with Marcin Wasilewski (piano) and Slawomir Kurkiewicz (bass). Manu Katche rounds out his percussion contribution. I really wish there was a way to be able to add music but if one is on Apple Music it is easily found along with the other selections on the Neighborhood album.

The picture is of the Skagit River in Mt Vernon Washington in 2008.
