Ways to post images to a WordPress Blog

Earlier in the history of my blog I reported on the low cost of creating and installing a WordPress web site. Most of the slideshows that I have used on this site have come from SlideShowPro. Not only do they have a nice convenient method of uploading images to a separate server, but more importantly, they allow a photographer a certain level of security in how their images are displayed, avoiding the ability to easily copy the images. However, if one was going to post a individual image, one still had to use the WordPress uploader. Now, however, SlideShowPro has just released a beta plugin, called SSP Director which will allow a person to install individual images in WordPress blogs, increasing the security of images. Here is an example:Arch at Devil's GardenEven more impressive is the beta WordPress slideshow from PhotoShelter, installed below. This slide show allows a photographer to display their images from a particular gallery at PhotoShelter. This is a great feature and should improve as PhotoShelter gets closer to their final plug-in, however, the only real complaint about this feature is that one cannot generate a subset of images to be displayed. The slide show works through the whole gallery.[photoshelter-gallery g_id='G0000yJ1NownaIRs' g_name='Southern-Utah-2010' f_show_caption='t' f_show_slidenum='t' img_title='casc' pho_credit='iptc' f_link='t' f_enable_embed_btn='t' f_send_to_friend_btn='t' f_fullscreen='t' f_topbar='t' f_bbar='t' f_show_watermark='t' f_htmllinks='t' f_mtrx='t' fsvis='f' width='600' height='450' bgcolor='#f5f5f5' btype='new' bcolor='#CCCCCC' crop='t' trans='xfade' tbs='2000' f_ap='t' bgtrans='f' linkdest='c' f_constrain='f' twoup='f' f_bbarbig='' f_smooth='f' f_up='f' target='_self' ]I find it particularly challenging to make sure the colors and sharpening from various web sites remain consistent between how the images are displayed.
